Page 1 of 3 - getting body replacer mods to work - posted in New Vegas Mod Talk: Every time I use the mod manager to install a body replacer mod in New Vegas and start to play, my characters texture look like this (the pic I have attached). I'm just now getting into the pc gaming and I trying to find a low stress way of fixing the problem.
Now this mod is a SFW version of the Type3 Body Replacer, which basically adds female body nudity to the game. As much of a joy as that would be, I’ll keep it PG-13 here. This one simply enhances female bodies to make them look more natural, but you won’t see any nudity once it’s installed.

WHAT IS IT?
More Type3 body models. All of the basic Type3 body models are included, along with several new variations. The feet have been repositioned and weight painted by hand and all of the models have been reweighted, remodeled (to one degree or another). The models are meant to be used with dimon99’s smaller female hands. The visible wrist seam has been reduced by adding extra vertices to match what is on the smaller female hands models. Those files are available as a separate download.
REQUIREMENTS
Type3 compatible textures are required. You can get my own personal textures HERE.
INSTALLATION
Rename the mesh of your choice to femaleupperbody and place it in your Datameshescharacters_male folder. If you do not have that file path simply create it. (The default location of the folder is Program FilesSteamsteamappscommonfallout new vegasdatameshescharacters_male.)

dimon99 and Backsteppo for the original Type3 meshes, Luchaire for the TypeV mesh, eronel55 for the Berry Boob Job body model and Kendo 2 for the feet edits, boob remodels and anything else.
PERMISSIONS
None. You may not reuse my content for your own mods or adapt it for use with other body mods without my permission. Use what I use or don’t use it at all.

Do not upload my content to other game sites. If I want my mods hosted elsewhere I’ll be the one to do it. You the downloader have no vetted interest in the content provided on these pages. That includes derivatives and anything that you might steal. Do not direct link the files and you may not use my content as parts of compilations, place it behind pay walls, or do anything else I think is crooked.

Broke my NV game. Now reinstalling for TTW playthrough.

I see on the FAQ page that to use nude/body replacers for TTW one needs alike [ie...T3 style] body mods for each game, and to install only the meshes and textures for the FO3 body mod.

WHY?!

If the data from FO3 has been converted for FNV via TTW, shouldn't the body replacer for FNV apply to FO3 characters/npcs without this step, overwriting or super-seceding the vanilla default bodies?

I'm thinking both games should be using the same body and skeleton from FNV [once they have been converted] meaning I should only have to install a body replacer to FNV to get the effect in both Wastelands.

I can understand the armour and clothing requiring the meshes and textures from FO3 mods, but bodies?
